“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
So goes the old saying.
But what if it is broke… and you can’t figure out what’s actually broken?
In this case, the “it” is your putting stroke.
The one that keeps pulling every 5-footer.
Or pushing short putts to the right.
Maybe you’ve tried to compensate for one type of miss, only to develop the other.
Heck, it’s possible your putting doesn’t follow any pattern at all.
You yank some. You shove some.
And you leave a bunch of putts short because your confidence is shot.
Are your pulls caused by a closed putter face at impact?
Or is an “outside-in” stroke path the culprit?
Are you pushing putts because the face is open?
Or is your path too “inside-out”?
It’s even possible to slice or hook putts with a combination of face/path errors.
Oh, then there’s this:
So, to quickly review:
Your putting is lousy, or at least inconsistent.
You don’t know what’s causing your frustrating problems.
You have even less of a clue what the cure might be, and...
Even if you find the cure, you’ll probably just slip back into your old habits anyway.
That’s the bad news.
But it’s not the end of the story.
Because there is, in fact, a tool that solves all of the above headaches.
Invented by former college golfer and PGA Tour caddie Dave Grill, the Delta Dueler is designed for three primary purposes – to help you:
1. Find any flaws in your putting
2. Fix them on the fly
3. Perfect a pure, repeatable stroke
The secret?
An ingenious, three-sided “puck” that slides along a specially designed mat.
It’s incredibly simple. Just aim one point directly at the target, with your putter against the flat side. (Lines on the mat make the process a snap.)
Then, putt the puck toward the target and diagnose your results as follows:
If the puck hits the target but the point turns left, your putter face is closed
If the puck hits the target but the point turns right, your putter face is open
If the puck starts left and stays left, your stroke path is outside-to-in
If the puck starts right and stays right, your stroke path is inside-to-out
If the puck hits the target and the point stays straight, your stroke is spot-on
It works literally every time – and the puck’s size and shape make it easy to see exactly what you’ve done wrong (or right).
As Dave likes to say:
It’s basic physics. Simple as that.
We’ll explain how it works in a moment.
First, let’s look at what comes with your package.
One Delta Putt mat measuring approximately 4.5 feet long by 6 inches wide
One Delta Puck
Instructions for using the device, deciphering stroke flaws based on the puck’s movement, and fixing whatever faults you find
Ideal for individual practice, indoors or out, requiring only a flat surface and very little space
One Delta Dueler mat measuring approximately 8 feet long by 12 inches wide, with six simulated cups on each end
Four Delta Pucks
Great for individual practice, or competition for up to four people. Points are scored by putting the puck into three marked sections
OK, back to those details.
At this juncture, you may be thinking:
“So the Delta Putt can tell me what I’m doing wrong. But I’m not a golf coach, so how am I supposed to fix the problem?”
Actually, you may be surprised at what you figure out yourself.
But you’re not on your own.
Each Delta Putt package comes with a handy guide with tips for solving any issue.
Typically, all you need is a tiny grip tweak, a minor setup adjustment or a little work keeping your wrists stable.
Once you’ve got your stroke straightened out, you can get busy grooving it – and improving it as you go.
Here’s how it works:
Each side of the Delta Putt puck – where your putter strikes the surface – features a small nub or protrusion in the center.
The “Amateur” side nub is the largest of the three, so it’s easiest to strike solidly. In other words, your margin of error is bigger.
The “Pro” side nub is slightly smaller, which reduces your margin.
The “Tour” side’s even smaller nub is the toughest to strike perfectly – in other words, the least forgiving of a minuscule miscue.
When you receive your package, start out using the Amateur side.
Once you can hit several perfect putts in a row – which may not happen right away – move to the Pro side and repeat the process.
Remember to consult the instructions if your putts are wobbly and you don’t know why (or how to fix it).
Finally, graduate to the Tour side. When you can routinely putt the puck dead straight…
You’ll make almost everything from short range.
You’ll hole more than your share from 8 to 15 feet.
You’ll lag it close from long distance – and drain the occasional, jaw-dropping bomb.
You’ll rarely three-putt from anywhere on the green. (We say rarely because, hey, we all miss-read one from time to time.)
You’ll do it hole after hole, round after round.
And when you do suffer through a lackluster putting round?
You can go home to your Delta Putt…
Instantly FIND what you’re doing wrong…
FIX the issue instantly, and…
PERFECT your repaired stroke before you tee it up again.
You’ll be amazed at how quickly you gain confidence practicing with the Delta Putt – confidence that carries over to the course.
And speaking of confidence, we’re absolutely certain this device will make you a better putter.
It’s why we don’t hesitate to offer this:
If you’ve been tracking your putting stats – for example, one-putts and three-putts per round, total length of putts made, etc… – compare them before and after you start using the Delta Putt and Delta Dueler.
If you don’t see measurable improvement in the “after” department within 30 days of purchase, send the package back for a full product refund.
While we’d love to know why you returned it, there’s no obligation to tell us. We'll process your refund with no questions asked.

“One of the best putter training aids I’ve seen to help improve the quality of your putting stroke… New, unique, different, simple, offers different levels and works.”
“I could tell within 5 minutes of using this what I suspected all along: My putting needs a lot of work. I followed the tips and after another 10 minutes was rolling the triangle so much better. I could really tell my stroke was more natural and fluid and feel I can translate it to the course.”
“I’ve tried numerous putting training aids, and I found each one to be more of a chore than an enjoyable exercise. I’m pleased to report that I’ve found a great putting training aid that works. If you want to improve your putting stroke and have fun doing it, the Delta Putt and Delta Dueler make a great choice.”
A student of the game for more than 50 years, Dave was an accomplished college golfer who competed in the finals of the National Long Drive Championship and caddied on the PGA Tour.
He’s seen every type of golf swing and putting stroke you can imagine.
If experience has taught him anything, Dave says, it’s this:
“Players who win tournaments, at any level, are good putters.”
Dave was one of those – but only sometimes.
A self-described “streaky” putter, the Oregon resident was bummed out after a balky flat-stick marred an otherwise glorious trip to Bandon Dunes.
Rather than wait for the next hot streak, Dave decided to make it happen.
And how would he do that?
By creating a device that could – unlike practicing on a green or mat – show him precisely WHY he couldn’t putt it into the Pacific.
If he knew why he was missing, Dave figured, he could quickly fix it.
After much thought, tinkering, trial and error, and who knows how many prototypes, his Delta Putt puck-and-mat system was born.
Dave Grill is a graduate of Lewis & Clark College, recently retired after 25 years in the metals industry, and currently lives in Oregon with his wife, Kellie. They have three children, all adults and all athletes.
